Alvaro Loran Week 9 Reflection Entrepreneurial Journal
The speech on transitioning from good to great really stood out to me from this week's study materials, especially as a future business owner. It was very interesting to me when they talked about how being good can be the enemy of becoming great. This reminded me that even if I'm comfortable with where I'm at I need to continuously work harder and focus on learning. This made me realize that I need not settle for being good and instead be all that God intended me to be. The speeches focus on how important it is to have a great product also stood out to me. With how consumer-based society is it's very easy for others and myself to forget that products should hold true value. This includes both monetary value and important value. These themes make me realize that I will need to focus on high quality and high value in my products so that they actually meet the needs of my target audience without just being another thing to buy. I also really liked how this speech talked about the importance of believing in yourself. I often find myself caught in the trap that I'm not good enough but one day I will be. Through this speech, I realized that I need to believe in myself now so that I can obtain my potential and become great instead of just good. This speech really motivates me to be confident in myself and know that no matter what I can achieve what needs to be done especially as an entrepreneur. Overall this speech really inspired me as I look to the future of becoming a business owner. It helped me create a plan to make a great business instead of just a good one. It made me realize that I do not want to settle and instead, I want to really achieve greatness and go beyond what a normal entrepreneur does.
