Alvaro Loran Week 11 Reflection Entrepreneurial Journal

After going through this week's materials the reading "Attitude on Money" by Stephen W. Gibson stood out the most to me. I really resonated with the message of this reading as I also believe balance when it comes to money is very important. I think too often people tend to assume money is either good or bad. I personally believe that like the reading said that it's most important what you do with the money as opposed to how much you have. It's easy to say money is evil however we all need it in order to survive. On the opposite side, it's also easy to say money is all good. However with this assumption in mind if someone spends all the money on negative items that only hurt others and themselves that can't be seen as good. I believe someone's view of money can significantly impact their life. If people only see money as the goal of becoming an entrepreneur it's very easy to get overwhelmed and think that if they don't make money immediately they should quit. This is why this week's material talks about the importance of having values and not just considering money to be the end-all be-all. Most of the materials in this week's reading talked about to prosper you need to be prepared and focused. It's very important to be prepared because being an entrepreneur isn't easy and the more you can prepare for obstacles the easier you're able to overcome them. It's also important to be focused on your vision as this week's material went over because money is not everything. If you instead focus on a good product and a vision that's when you'll see the biggest difference in a lasting impact on society. Overall I think when it comes to money there are both good and bad aspects but you need to be aware of these things and make adjustments to make sure it's not the most important thing you're looking for.
