Alvaro Loran Week 4 Reflection Entrepreneurial Journal

Out of all the readings this week Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin's talk, "Little Things Are Important," really stood out to me for my endeavor to become a business owner. I’ve always believed that some of the most important aspects of running my own business will be the ability to create strong relationships with employees as well as the community I want to sell to. Elder Wirthlin's message made me realize that even small acts of kindness and working on small goals can have a large impact on my life over time. I feel like for me every time I think about creating my own business I seem to get overwhelmed and sometimes I get discouraged thinking I'll never be able to reach my goals. However, as Elder Wirthlin talks about even small things and small changes can make a great impact. This was a really great reminder for me as sometimes instead of making small changes I procrastinate large ones and end up getting almost nothing done. I've realized when I've had the most success in my life it's been when I've done small things and they've compounded over time. Despite my constant feeling like I need to rush I need to instead focus on getting better every day. In addition, Elder Wirthlin's Talk also focuses on the fact that it is important to have charity and be aware of the needs of those around us. This is very important to me as a future business owner because a business is there to solve a problem. I  would never want to create a business where people come only to waste their money. Instead, I want to create a brand that means something and makes a difference in the world. In conclusion, this talk is a great reminder of the importance of quality. I want to make sure everything I do is done wisely and that I don’t rush through my goals. Instead, I want to make the journey a part of my goals.
