Alvaro Loran Week 2 Entrepreneurial Journal
I believe that Randy Pausch was able to achieve so many of his childhood dreams because he didn't see obstacles as a no and instead, he saw no’s as brick walls he was able to take down one brick at a time. I feel like myself included when I get told no I want to stop or when I face obstacles I want to quit. There's been so many times in my life when I faced a challenge and instead of trying again, I switched to something that's easier for me. I really enjoyed his talk and realized that there are too many times in my life that I settle for the lesser easier choice instead of the harder more important one. I believe that dreaming is important. dreaming is very important to me because I believe that we were put on this Earth for a reason. I believe God designed everyone with a dream or a passion. I have not been living up to the fact that I believe dreams are important. I found myself lately believing instead that I need to be realistic and settle down. I really want to put more of an emphasis on dreams back into my life to believe in dreams and that they're possible. One of my childhood dreams has always been to make music. Despite this still being a dream of mine I feel like it's unrealistic because I need to take care of my family. I keep telling myself that someday in the future I'll make music. However; after listening to this talk I realize that I need to prioritize and remove the bricks from my path to make my own music. Starting today I'm going to keep reminding myself every day that dreams are possible and that I can achieve anything if I'm brave enough to keep going.
